Inspired by the movement, depth, and colour of the ocean, this hand-painted Dorset scallop shell trinket dish is designed to resemble waves crashing across deep blue sea caves and coastal rock pools.

Each extra-large scallop shell is individually hand painted using layered acrylic inks and resin techniques to create a rich oceanic effect with incredible depth and movement. Finished with hand-applied liquid gold leaf along the rim and sealed beneath crystal-clear glossy resin, every piece becomes a unique miniature work of coastal art.

The vibrant sapphire blues, turquoise tones, and fluid wave-like textures catch the light beautifully, making this shell both a practical jewellery dish and a striking decorative statement piece.

Every shell is sustainably sourced from the Dorset coastline and individually handcrafted in my Surrey studio, meaning no two are ever exactly alike.

🌊 INSPIRED BY THE OCEAN

My Ocean collection is inspired by sea caves, tidal pools, and waves crashing against coastal rock formations.

Using layers of fluid acrylic inks and resin, I create depth and movement within each shell to evoke the feeling of looking into a crystal-clear ocean grotto.

The natural ridges of the scallop shell enhance the flowing movement of the design, making every piece entirely unique.
