Blue Spring Flowers Dorset Scallop Shell Trinket Dish

This handcrafted Dorset scallop shell trinket dish features a delicate blue spring floral design inspired by wild coastal flowers and vintage botanical illustrations. The artwork includes bluebells, cornflowers, forget-me-nots, and stylised floral blooms in soft blue tones with subtle green stems, creating a calm and elegant coastal feel.

Each shell is individually hand-finished in my Surrey studio using decoupage techniques, detailed with liquid gold leaf around the rim, and sealed with a crystal-hard glossy resin for exceptional durability and shine.

Each scallop shell is naturally unique, with slight variations in shape, depth, and pattern placement, making every piece completely one of a kind.

Process:
These shells are sustainably sourced from the Dorset and South East coastlines, thoroughly cleaned, and prepared in my studio. The original design is carefully applied using decoupage, then each shell is hand-gilded with gold leaf and sealed with a crystal-clear resin for a durable, glossy finish.

Please note:
Due to the natural shape of shells and the handmade process, each piece will have subtle variations in size, depth, and design placement—this is what makes every dish unique.

P R E S E N T A T I O N
The shells are wrapped in white tissue paper and are then presented in a natural, branded, sustainable gift box, nestled in white shredded & recycled paper to protect the shell on its journey.

C L E A N I N G Y O U R S H E L L
My shells are uniquely sealed with a hard wearing gloss epoxy resin which is water resistant but I as a precaution I do not recommend submerging the shells in water and they are not dishwasher safe. Please wipe with a soft cloth.

Your bespoke handcrafted shell comes complete with beautiful gift packaging at no extra charge! I will also provide you with an image of your shell (prior to postage) to save you from unwrapping the shell if you are gifting on to a loved one.
