Hand-Painted Scallop Shell Trinket Dish: Gold Gilded Coastal Decor

This extra-large Dorset scallop shell dish (approx. 13 cm wide) is hand painted with acrylic inks and resins, then finished with liquid gold leaf. Each shell is unique, making it a beautiful jewellery holder, trinket dish, or decorative coastal ornament.

Inspired by sea caves and ocean grottoes, the inside of the shell is painted to resemble weathered rock with waves splashing up the sides. Layers of paint and resin form a deep, crystal-clear pool at the base, creating the impression of peering into a natural sea grotto.

Each shell dish will have subtle variations which are caused by the natural variations in the shape and size of the sea shells used, as well as a result of the hand crafting painting method.

The shells are wrapped in white tissue paper and are then presented in a natural, branded, sustainable gift box, nestled in white shredded & recycled paper to protect the shell on its journey.
