Each illustration begins as an original artwork before being professionally scanned and carefully applied to a natural scallop shell using a specialist decoupage process. Every shell is individually finished with your choice of genuine liquid gold leaf or silver leaf and sealed beneath a crystal-clear glossy resin, creating a durable and luxurious finish.

Inspired by the Dorset coastline and the timeless elegance of blue and white Delft ceramics, each shell combines original artwork with natural coastal materials to create a unique decorative keepsake.

P R O C E S S
Each scallop shell is sustainably sourced from the Dorset and South East coastlines before being carefully cleaned, prepared and individually finished in my Surrey studio. The illustration is applied by hand, finished with either genuine liquid gold leaf or silver leaf, and sealed beneath crystal-hard resin to create a beautiful high-gloss finish.

P R E S E N T A T I O N
The shells are wrapped in white tissue paper and are then presented in a natural, branded, sustainable gift box, nestled in white shredded & recycled paper to protect the shell on its journey.

C L E A N I N G Y O U R S H E L L
My shells are uniquely sealed with a hard wearing gloss epoxy resin which is water resistant but I as a precaution I do not recommend submerging the shells in water and they are not dishwasher safe. Please wipe with a soft cloth.

Your bespoke handcrafted shell comes complete with beautiful gift packaging at no extra charge! I will also provide you with an image of your shell (prior to postage) to save you from unwrapping the shell if you are gifting on to a loved one.
